How to Ask for Help Without Guilt

Asking for help doesn’t mean you’re failing—it means you’re human. Parenthood, healing, or any demanding season of life wasn’t meant to be done alone. If guilt creeps in when you think about reaching out, remind yourself that allowing others to support you can actually strengthen relationships, not burden them. Start small: ask a friend to drop off a meal, request 15 minutes of help with the baby, or delegate one household chore. Say things like, “It would mean a lot if you could...” or “I could really use some help with...” You deserve rest, support, and community—and there’s strength in knowing when to reach for it.
